CAMARILLO CHRISTMAS PARADE COMMUNICATION EVENT
December 15 2007
I’m sure Dave Gilmore, AA6VH, will be asking for more volunteers on the net tonight (11-27-07) for the Camarillo Christmas Parade. We've always had an Ojai contingent, usually with two bicycle-mobiles. It is a fun, but busy, event. We usually park the band buses as they arrive from all over, and monitor the bands as they warm up and get ready for the competition that goes up Temple Ave from the Boys/Girls Club. Morning briefing is at 0700, so we leave out NLT 0615, or so. We’re usually through by 1200, when the actual parade starts, and we head back home. Badges are not required; it’s an ARES event open to anyone who wants to build their skill in a directed net. Let me know if you would like to participate in this. I will swing by and pick up anyone who's interested in going. All you need is a handheld radio; yellow shirt if you have it. Lemme know.
73,
Wayne
